Local man succeeds at 2007 World Championship of Custom Bike Building in Sturgis, SD. Scott Tudury, owner of Apex CNC, worked as co-designer with Paul Stewart of Dynamic Choppers on a radical custom bike called Epic, which placed in the top ten of Custom bikes in the world.

In a highly contested competition featuring custom bike builders from around the globe, including Sweden, Italy, Spain, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Japan, Scott and Paul finished in sixth place with Epic, the second highest placed American Builder at the four day event.

Speaking of his involvement Tudury said: “Paul [Stewart] approached me to do some engineering work on a bike he was planning on building for the World Championship of Custom Bike Building and asked if I would be able to machine some parts in my shop. Once I got involved things just kind of took off. Seeing the outstanding quality of the other bikes in the competition it is an honor to place sixth and I’ll be back again next year with another bike…”
